Description for Woodshed
A 2-bedroom cabin with a spectacular view of the Great Smoky Mountains, Woodshed is a delight to come home to after an action-packed day. Not only are the surroundings stunning and serene, but the cabin itself is a haven of calm and comfort. Every element of the home, from the outdoor hot tub to the deck rockers to the wood-burning fireplace, encourages relaxation.

Located in Gatlinburg’s private Cobbly Nob neighborhood—itself set within a 1,000-acre resort—Woodshed has a back deck that stretches the width of the house and looks out over dense woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy your morning coffee while kicking back on one of the rocking chairs; you’ll be in laid-back vacation mode before you know it! Cook kabobs or fresh-caught trout on the charcoal grill—the fresh mountain air is an ideal seasoning—and then savor your meal out on the deck too, at the roomy patio table. And luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub while wrens and swallows serenade you in the daytime or owls and whip-poor-wills sing you a lullaby at night.

You don’t have to be on the deck to revel in the beauty surrounding Woodshed. The living room’s wall of picture windows floods the room with sunlight and lets you gaze out at the mountains even as you stretch out on the oversized leather sectional sofa. The sofa is, in fact, large enough for the whole group to sprawl out for movie night—the living room has a TV with cable and a DVD player. In summer the ceiling fan will add a welcome breeze, while in winter the stacked-stone fireplace will bring a warm glow.

When you don’t want to dine on the deck, you can all gather around the indoor dining table, which seats 6. Likewise, you’re not limited to cooking on the charcoal grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and even a dishwasher.

Woodshed has 2 bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other in the loft above, a layout that provides welcome privacy if you’re vacationing with another couple. The main-floor bedroom, located by a full bathroom, has a king-size bed, a TV, and a ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. The upstairs master bedroom features a king-size bed, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom that includes not only a shower but also a jetted tub—just the thing after a day of hiking or biking the trails of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bathroom also has access to the upper-level balcony; enjoy a romantic glass of wine under the stars before turning in for the night.

As well as the opportunity for romance, the cabin offers numerous amenities, including a washer and dryer (here’s a chance to return from vacation with a suitcase full of clean clothes!), free WiFi, a carport that accommodates 2 vehicles, and parking spaces for another 2. And did we mention that Woodshed is pet-friendly? Well, it is!

Another of Woodshed’s amenities is off-site: free access to Cobbly Nob’s 2 pool areas in the summer. What’s more, at the foot of the resort is the award-winning Bent Creek golf course, designed by legendary golfer Gary Player.

Just slightly farther afield are the restaurants, shops, and amusements of downtown Gatlinburg; the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art; and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.

No matter how you spend your days, you’ll relish returning to the pleasures of Woodshed. Experience its calm and beauty for yourself: Make your reservation today!

Reviews for Woodshed
Great view!
Enjoyed stay at cabin. Jackson Homes took care of every situation I needed promptly. I will definitely use Jackson homes again to rent a cabin. As for Woodshed it was great. They need to update the TV in the living room with High Definition feed from cable company. Great view and plenty of space to 2 couples.

Great home with amazing views, and a hot tub!
I rented the property to take my wife out to Gatlinburg for her birthday along with our two dogs. We had a great experience from the time that we checked in, until we checked out. I was surprised to see the property was managed by a company that even called to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The pictures that feature the scenic views do it absolutely no justice to reality. It was an incredible experience to enjoy an evening relaxing in the hot tub with a breathtaking view of the mountains, and to then stargaze at night. Needless to say, we will certainly be returning to this property during future visits to Gatlinburg, and I would highly suggest that anyone consider doing the same.

Nice clean house
Home has open living, dining room with large windows overlooking the smoky mountains. Very comfortable. Plenty of cooking utinsels. Beautiful fireplace, we didn’t use. But added to the house.

Definitely worth the money!
Great house with amazing views! Loved that the master bedroom and bathroom were on the 2nd floor, away from the rest of the house. There was even a balcony off the master bathroom with spectacular views. The master shower was tiny and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80's but everything was in working order. The house smelled a bit musty when we walked in and all the dishes were dirty but these were easy fixes as we traveled with a sponge and soap. The living room wall of windows was definitely a sight to see. We had a great view of the mountains. Definitely worth the money.

We loved the cabin!
Large cabin with vaulted ceilings, a great deck and fabulous views. Our teenage son loved having his private suite upstairs with his own deck. We enjoyed the family room with a large sectional downstairs. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and blankets available. Appliances looked old but they worked fine which is all that mattered to us. The cabin is about 30 minutes from Gatlinburg proper, and about 10 minutes to the 3 pools available to guests.
