Description for Water’s Edge Retreat
Looking for a place to stay with three dozen of your closest friends—including several of the four-footed variety? Then Water’s Edge Retreat is the Gatlinburg lodge for you. The eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom log home can sleep as many as thirty-eight people, and it has plenty more to recommend it as well: a game room with a pool table and arcades, a huge screened-in porch, and a hot tub, among other amenities. What’s more, it overlooks a burbling brook (hence the cabin’s name) and is less than fifteen minutes from downtown Gatlinburg in one direction and Dollywood in another.

Each of the eight bedrooms has its own bathroom with both a shower and a jetted tub; you’re sure to appreciate the latter when you return from hiking, skiing, or rafting. Six of the bedrooms feature a luxurious king-size bed; the other two include a pair of queen-size bunk beds. What’s more, each bedroom also has a futon that can sleep two more people. This enables the rooms with king-size beds to accommodate little ones who want to be in the same room as their parents—and it makes the rooms with bunk beds perfect for slumber parties. Each bedroom has a flat-screen TV too.

The great room makes up much of the main floor of Water’s Edge Retreat. The lustrous wood-planked floor, walls, and beamed ceiling give the room a warm, laid-back ambience—just what you want when on vacation. A large flat-screen TV hangs above the stone-surround electric fireplace, and there’s plenty of comfortable leather seating for kicking back to watch a movie, catching up on your reading, or playing charades.

The dining area of the great room includes two large tables, a smaller table for more-intimate dining, and a breakfast bar. On the other side of the bar is the kitchen. With two coffeemakers and two toasters among its stainless-steel appliances, it’s ready to handle a crowd. If you prefer cooking and eating alfresco, head to the patio. That’s where you’ll find a charcoal grill and a pair of picnic tables alongside the brook. There’s an area for a bonfire too, so you can toast marshmallows beneath the star-studded sky amid the chirping of the crickets and the tree frogs. What a wonderful way to end the day!

Another delightful way to end the day is with a soak in the large hot tub, located on the screened-in porch. Stretching the width of Water’s Edge Retreat, the porch is also furnished with plenty of rockers, making it an idyllic space for savoring your morning coffee as the mountain breeze rustles through the wealth of trees just outside the lodge.

The most popular gathering spot in Water’s Edge Retreat, particularly for the kids, just might be the upstairs game room. Between the pool table, the foosball table, and the four arcades—along with yet another flat-screen TV—the game room will keep everyone entertained during a rainy day… or any other day, for that matter. (The cabin has WiFi too, though there is limited data. For that reason, you’re asked to limit any downloading from streaming websites such as Netflix, and additional charges may apply for excess usage.)

Given how many amenities Water’s Edge Retreat boasts and how restful its surroundings are, you might want to spend most of your time simply hanging out here with friends and family. When you do want to explore the local attractions, though, you’ll find plenty to choose from. In twenty minutes or less you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, the Titanic Museum, and more.

Whether you’re in town for a reunion, a wedding party, a church retreat, or a multifamily vacation, you’ll find something for everyone at Water’s Edge Retreat. Book your stay today, and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Reviews for Water’s Edge Retreat
We all enjoyed it!
We had a large Reunion and chose this cabin. We all enjoyed it and plenty of room for a lot of guests. I would recommend Water's Edge and loved how close to town it was and yet in the middle of nowhere at the same time !!

We enjoyed our stay!
Great set up and did not have to go to the top of the mountain.

Great Amenities!
The Cabin is in a great location convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Cabin was very clean, organized and had great amenities. Stream behind the unit was small but we enjoyed the sounds and sights of the moving water. Beds were comfortable and clean.

Nice Cabin and great location to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Cabin. I would recommend it. Only issue we faced was, the water flow in bathrooms got slowdown especially on second floor bathrooms when all of the bathrooms were used in parallel. if this issue is taken care or at least informed to the customers upfront that will be helpful.
