Description for Spring View
Lush trees, beautifully manicured lawns, and the Smoky Mountains sedately overlooking it all: That’s what you’ll see from the windows and deck of Spring View. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom log cabin is located in Wears Valley, a quiet paradise where you can relax and rejuvenate body and soul. Yet should you want to do something more than savor the glorious surroundings, soak in the deck’s hot tub, and enjoy quality time with family and friends, you can: The home is only minutes from amusement parks, dinner theaters, restaurants, and other attractions.
Spring View was designed to make the most of its setting. This is especially apparent in the living room, which boasts a towering cathedral ceiling and a wall of oversize windows that bring the beauty of the outdoors in. As you stretch out on one of the sofas you might see deer or wild turkeys prance along outside. When you’re not admiring the view, you can watch cable TV or surf the web via the free WiFi. On warm days that aren’t quite hot enough to put on the central air-conditioning the ceiling fan will keep you cool; on chilly winter evenings you can sip cocoa and play charades by the golden warmth of the fireplace.
Being able to cook and dine in is one of the (many) benefits of staying in a house rather than a hotel. Spring View’s kitchen has all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, whether you’re making sandwiches to bring on a picnic or hosting a holiday feast. The dining area has both a table that easily accommodates 6 handsome Windsor chairs as well as a breakfast bar that seats 2. When the weather’s right, however, you’ll probably want to eat out on the deck, which overlooks a small pond. The fresh mountain breezes and the birdsong will transform even leftovers into a special-occasion meal. And if you reel in trout from one of the local streams—or buy steaks at a local store—you can cook them outdoors on Spring View’s charcoal grill.
In addition to a picnic table and chairs, the deck includes a hot tub with a splendid view of the mountains. After a day of hiking or horseback riding, a soak among the massaging jets of steamy water will have your tired muscles feeling as good as new. And at night, as crickets chirp, owls hoot, and the stars sparkle overhead, a session in the hot tub is nothing short of magical.
Upstairs you’ll find Spring View’s game room, where you can challenge family and friends to a game of pool or air hockey. A bedroom and a bathroom are upstairs as well; the 2nd bedroom and bathroom are on the main floor. Each bedroom includes, along with a TV, a log-frame king-size bed, making the cabin as well suited for 2 couples as for a family. What’s more, one of the living room sofas opens into a bed for 2, enabling Spring View to accommodate 6 guests in all.
As you relish the peace, privacy, and natural beauty, you can easily forget that Spring View is only a short drive to numerous area attractions. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, for instance, is just 10 minutes away, as is Wears Valley Zipline Adventures. In only 20 minutes you can drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to dinner theaters, the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, amusement parks, shops, restaurants, the Titanic Museum, go-karts, outlet malls, and much more. Dollywood and downtown Gatlinburg, whose attractions include Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and the Guinness World Records Adventure, are a half-hour away. (Because this is mountain country, 4-wheel drive and/or tire chains are recommended in winter.)
When you stay at Spring View, you can be as laid-back or as adventurous as you want. In other words, it’s a perfect cabin for a perfect getaway. Make your reservation today; we look forward to seeing you.
