Description for Solid Gold
A custom 2-story log cabin, Solid Gold can sleep 4 people in comfort and rustic yet refined style. Sleep might be the last thing on your mind when you stay here, however. Not only does the cabin include such entertainment options as a pool table, and an outdoor hot tub, but it’s also only 15 minutes from Dollywood and numerous other Pigeon Forge attractions.

From Solid Gold you can gaze out over verdant woodlands toward the Great Smoky Mountains. Located in the Eagle Crest Resort, the cabin has 2 decks so that you can make the most of the stunning scenery. Classic wood rocking chairs on the upper deck are ideal perches for watching the morning mists rise above the mountains, glorying in the sunset, and pointing out constellations in the starry night sky. The lower deck includes a picnic table for alfresco dining; the fresh mountain breeze makes everything taste better. And for a true sensory delight, soak in the deck’s hot tub as falcons soar across the sky and songbirds put on a concert. The hot tub can accommodate as many as 5 people at once, so everyone can bask among the massaging jets of steamy water after a day of hiking, horseback riding, or whitewater rafting.

A wall of picture windows lets you admire the view even as you relax in the living room. Furnished with generously cushioned leather seating and a plush rug that will feel so luxurious underfoot, the living room includes a stacked-stone electric fireplace; its golden glow will show off the lustrous wood-planked walls, floor, and beamed ceiling to perfection. You’ll love lazing in here to watch a movie on the 55” TV, which has a DVD/VCR player and cable channels. And if you’re vacationing with the kids, they’ll love playing a game of pool.

The dining table seats 6, on comfortably padded chairs that encourage lingering long after the meal is over. And while there are plenty of restaurants nearby, the kitchen makes cooking a pleasure. The open space, which pairs gleaming stainless-steel appliances with plank-style cupboards, is equipped with just about everything you need to prepare a feast—or to simply make coffee and toast in the morning.

If you like to shoot pool (or want to learn how), head upstairs to the loft. This airy space includes a full-size pool table. There’s just one drawback: The view of the treetops and the mountains from the numerous windows might prove too distracting! If pool’s not your game, you can watch your favorite shows on the 32” TV.

The loft is also home to one of Solid Gold’s 2 sleeping areas. This one features a king-size bed in a handcrafted log frame. As if that weren’t enticement enough to sleep up here, the loft also has its own Jacuzzi. A soak before bed is so relaxing… and can be so romantic too.

The en-suite bedroom is on the main floor. In addition to a private bathroom with a combination shower/tub, this suite includes a full-size bed, a 32” LCD TV with DVD player, and an electric fireplace. For the warmer months, there’s a ceiling fan to complement the central air-conditioning.

The 2nd bathroom, with a shower, is in the loft. Having a full bathroom for each bedroom is so convenient. Also convenient is Solid Gold’s private washer and dryer.

The ultimate convenience, though, may be Solid Gold’s proximity to the area’s attractions. Within 15 minutes you can drive to Dollywood, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, Gatlinburg Golf Course, and the Ripken Experience, to name just a few. And in less than a half-hour you can be exploring the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and so much more.

Convenience, comfort, and amenities galore: That sums up Solid Gold in a nutshell. Book your stay today, and get ready for what might be your best vacation yet.

Reviews for Solid Gold
The cabin was great
The cabin was great, clean, and had the most amazing view!!! Be prepared for windy road of course, it is on the side of a mountain. The only complaint I had was the matresses were probably 30+ years old with worn down springs. Not the most comfortable to sleep on. Other than that the cabin was great

We love this cabin!
The view is wonderful, it is our favorite thing about the cabin. We rent Solid Gold every time we go to the mountains. A better grill would be an improvement. It had no cover/top. It was primitive, like the kind found at a campground.

Nice cabin
The cabin itself was awesome, only issue I had with it was no internet access after I was told was wifi. So if you want wifi access be sure to bring hot spot or just use phone. Is cell tower just about a mile away good strong signal.
