Description for Rooster Way
When you stay at Rooster Way, a romantic hideaway for 2, you’ll feel far away from the everyday. The log cabin is located on a quiet back road in the woods. Instead of waking up to the sounds of traffic, you’ll be greeted by the chirping of chickadees and warblers. And at night, rather than being kept awake by bright lights and the blaring of your neighbor’s stereo, you’ll be serenaded by whip-poor-wills and the mountain breeze whispering among the trees.

Start the morning in your private paradise sipping your coffee or juice on the deck’s rocking chairs. Or for a real treat, enjoy a soak in the deck’s hot tub. It’s large enough for 2, so both you and your sweetie can revel in the steamy bubbles and the fresh air.

Because Rooster Way is situated between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to how to spend your day. You’re just a short drive to the Greenbrier entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which you can explore on foot, bike, or horseback as well as in your car. In winter you can hit the slopes of Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area and any time of year is a good one for the amusements of Dollywood, shopping in Pigeon Forge’s outlet malls, or checking out the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop. Or, maybe you want to keep things low-key and simply stroll through the woods surrounding the cabin. If you brought your dog along—yes, Rooster Way is pet-friendly!—he or she will definitely be up for that option!

Rooster Way is also close to trout-stocked Little Pigeon River; maybe you’ll manage to reel in supper! If so, you can cook it on the deck’s charcoal grill or inside in the well-equipped kitchen. Don’t be fooled by the kitchen’s compact size: It’s outfitted with all the appliances, cookware, and dinnerware you’ll need.

Once your feast is prepared, you can enjoy a private dinner for 2 at Rooster Way’s dining table, amid the warmth of the gas fireplace in its stacked stone surround. Afterward, bring your glasses of wine to the sofa and cuddle while watching a movie on the flat-panel TV; in addition to satellite channels there’s a DVD player, so you can bring a favorite romantic comedy with you.

Or maybe you want to skip the movie and head straight to the heart-shaped jetted tub for 2 for a long, languorous soak together. Especially if your muscles got a workout earlier in the day, you’ll love relaxing among the pulsating jets of water. To really set the mood, turn off the lights and bathe in the golden glow of the fireplace!

And with that, it’s time to snuggle under the covers of the queen-size bed. Because the bed is nestled by the window, you can look out at the night sky as you drift off to sleep—and in the morning you’ll wake up recharged, rejuvenated, and ready for another day in paradise.

If this sounds like the ideal getaway, why not book your stay at Rooster Way today? You’ll be so glad you did!

Reviews for Rooster Way
Cabin was perfect for us.
The cabin was small and on one level which was perfect for us. It was clean and very quiet. The only thing that you could fix is a few bedside lamps. The overhead lighting was dim and was annoying when one wanted to sleep and one wanted to read. We will be back!

Beautiful, cozy , private
My girlfriend and I stayed here with our two dogs. The cabin was very nice and clean upon arrival. The hill to get to the cabin was a bit intimidating at first but we quickly became comfortable with the drive. If visiting during winter 4 wheel drive is a must and possibly chains on the tires. We loved the privacy that the cabin provided and having our dogs with us made it even more special. The hot tub was nice but would have liked for it to be hotter. The fire place was very nice especially at night. We would definitely recommend this to anyone that would like to get away from it all while still being within a reasonable drive to pigeon forge and gatlinburg. We look forward to staying at rooster way again.

1 week August stay for a couple
Overall, I highly suggest! My BF and I visited the cabin from 8/14-8/19. The cabin was the last one at top of the hill. The drive up/down was scary, but also half of the fun of staying in the Mountains! It takes between 15-30 minutes to get to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Takes 40 minutes to get to the Rainbow Trail area (we saw a momma bear, three cubs driving near the Rainbow Trail!) Front door uses a keyless pad. Was kinda hard to use most times. Door would either not unlock/not lock. Have to shimmy with the door. Cabin is studio size so it’s small, but perfect size for a couple. We had brought a lot of food and items cuz it was just about was a week-long trip, which took up a lot of room. This will vary for other people. Outdoor/indoor hot tub was amazing. Can watch TV from the indoor jacuzzi. Windows next to the outdoor hot tub open, so can leave your speaker next to the window if you don’t want to bring it outside and listen to music there. Be prepared for giant spiders on the balcony tho! The view is quite lovely! Kitchen area was very nice. They have a variety of pots, pans, cookie sheets, bowls, plates, utensils, strainer, bigger bowls, there’s a coffee maker and toaster. Fridge is big. The electric oven was interesting. Burnt bacon every time we cooked it, could never get it right. I would not go over 375 degrees. Bathroom was nice and spacey. Shower is not very spacey. I had to turn off the water to wash body with soap since there was not much room. The bed and couch were comfortable!  Cabin was impressively clean. Barely had any problems with bugs. They have an A/C and they have a ceiling fan, both worked great. A couple of suggestions: 1) More towels for the bathroom based on how long ppl are staying for. We had 6 towels (so 3 each), but there was no washer/dryer, so we were reusing wet towels cuz they took forever to dry. 2) Another table/bigger table inside. We brought a puzzle to do since my BF does not have a phone with wireless. There was no wifi. We had no room to do the puzzle on a table, but also eat at the table. This also varies for people. 3) A table outside for the hot tub/chairs. 4) Include a can opener in the utensil drawer. Cons: 1) Amenities included a dishwasher. There was no dishwasher. Everything had to be washed and dried by hand. 2) The TV/satellite connection was not great. Would go in and out, some channels worked, some didn’t. Overall, it was OK, just frustrating. Included a DVD player, but we did not use
