Description for Laurie B
After a day of hiking mountain trails, enjoying thrill rides at amusement parks, playing in arcades, shopping, and exploring distilleries, some R&R is definitely in order. Located on a quiet road and bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Laurie B offers plenty of privacy and serenity despite being just minutes from the area’s hottest attractions.
Recently remodeled and pet-friendly, Laurie B is decorated in restful neutrals with an emphasis on pampering comfort. The living room, for instance, includes enough plush, well-cushioned seating for the whole gang. Once you kick back on the armchair and settee recliners, you might never want to get back up! When you’re not watching a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable you can surf the web via the free WiFi. The electric fireplace will keep things extra-cozy in winter.
The dining room seating is pretty darn comfortable too, whether you’re gathered around the table or perched at the breakfast bar. After you’ve cleared your meal, bring out your Monopoly board or Uno deck and let your family dinner segue into family game night. At home, what with work, school, sports, and other activities, it can be tough for everyone to hang out together; here’s your chance!
Separating Laurie B’s living and dining rooms is the well-equipped kitchen. Along with all the major appliances (and plenty of minor ones), the kitchen offers loads of cookware, tableware, and counter space. Cooking in here is a pleasure, not a chore. What’s more, there’s a gas grill on the porch. If you reel in any fish from the nearby creeks, you can barbecue them out here for a true Smoky Mountain feast.
The primary suite includes a queen-size bed and a private bathroom. There’s a queen-size bed in the second bedroom as well, enabling Laurie B to accommodate two couples as comfortably as it can a family. The third bedroom, with twin-over-double bunk beds, sleeps three people. The kids will love this room; every night will seem like a sleepover party!
The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are all on the same floor as the living room, dining room, and kitchen, making Laurie B especially convenient for families with little ones or for anyone who has difficulty with steps. Also convenient are the home’s washer and dryer. You can pack light and run a load of laundry while you sleep… or better yet, while you luxuriate in the hot tub.
That’s right: Laurie B has a spacious hot tub in its yard, looking out onto the towering trees of the national park. During the day you can watch falcons soar overhead while you soak; at night you can listen to the whip-poor-wills as you try to count the stars.
As tempting as it might be to spend entire days among the massaging waters of the hot tub, you won’t want to miss out on the myriad attractions nearby. In five minutes you can drive to Climb Works, where you can zip-line over the mountains. Even closer is Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by British Open champion Gary Player. The Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an eight-mile loop of artisanal shops, studios, and galleries, is only 10 minutes away. And in less than 20 minutes you can be in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, home to the famed SkyLift Park, Anakeesta theme park, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, arcades, mini golf, restaurants, shops, and so much more. Just a bit farther are the equally popular attractions of Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood and the Titanic Museum.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll relish returning the quiet comforts of Laurie B, where relaxation and a great night’s sleep are all but guaranteed. Book your stay today; we look forward to seeing you!
