When you reach the road’s end and find this country mountain cabin, you'll realize your heart has been desiring this respite and you will be refreshed by the majestic view from Smokerise Mountain.

This new one-bedroom log cabin has natural pine tongue-and-groove walls, exposed beams, and a tin roof. Its charm extends throughout the entire cabin with simple touches, decorative accents, and modern comforts. The design allows for quiet relaxation both inside and outside. The front door opens into the living space which includes a stone gas fireplace, cable television, cabin furnishings, and large windows for unsurpassed views of the expansive Smoky Mountains.

The open area extends into a fully-furnished kitchen and a dining table perfect for two. The adjoining room is the master bedroom with a king bed, a Jacuzzi, and a clothes closet. In addition, there is a bathroom accessible from both the hall and the bedroom, as well as a washer and dryer inside the laundry closet.

To relax on the front porch, you'll find rockers, a small bistro table, and a private hot tub - as well as those unmatched mountain views any time of day or night. At early morn or at twilight, you may be blessed to see the smoky mist rise. Reviews for Journey's End 2
Journey's End was Terrific
We had the opportunity to stay at this cabin following a visit to Clemson University.(son) It was about a 3 hour drive from the school and the roads were good. We have stayed at this cabin before but for some reason, it seemed so much nicer this time. Perhaps the weather was better. The cabin is very isolated , so you don't hear other guests at all. Very secluded. The owners have done a great job building this place and the interior really makes you feel comfortable and cozy. The view from the porch is fantastic and we sat on the rocking chairs just talking and looking for hours at a time. We could see Gatlinburg lighting up the sky but could not see the city direct. Kept the star wactching at it's best. During the day, I found myself looking for the OberGatlinburg tram and actually saw it cross over the top of the trees quite often. This unit is terrific and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a QUIET time. If there was any one thing that I wasn't prepared for, it was the added $60 for reservation fees and an automatic travel insurance added to the final bill. BE AWARE --you can cancel the insurance up front but the reservation fee sticks. This wouldn't be too bad but when you only go for two days(as my time only allowed), the extra cost catches you off guard. Will still go back, but next time I'll be prepared. All in all, a great time and I've already shared my experience with my extended family in hopes that they can also enjoy this cabin. Hope this helps other readers.

Wonderful Cabin!
My husband and I loved our stay here. Adorable cabin that was very secluded and quiet. Great view of the Smokies. The cabin was very clean, and the office staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!!

Our sixth year at Journeys End
This was our sixth trip to Journeys End and it was for our 45th anniversary. Our first trip was for our 40th. The view is fantastic and so is the peace and quiet. It's our only vacation each year. A long weekend in Gatlingburg is like a week any place else. Thanks for being there and making it so easy to arrange each year!

Excellent Cabin & Experience!!
This was our first stay at Journey's End and it most definitely will NOT be our last! This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was EXTREMELY clean and well kept (from the interior to the hot tub), and it was clear the love and personal touch put into the home. The views were amazing and we loved how it was "private" (top of the mountain) but not too far removed. Everything about the cabin made it a positive and memorable experience, and we are looking forward to returning this July!
