Description for Chalet of Dreams
Located in a gated resort atop a ridge, Chalet of Dreams offers just about everything you want in a Smoky Mountain getaway: lovely views, luxuries including a hot tub and a pool table, comfortable furnishings, and a short, easy drive to all the local attractions.
The 2-bedroom log cabin looks out over old-growth woodlands toward the Great Smoky Mountains. Its huge wraparound deck includes plenty of rocking chairs—a mountain-cabin must-have—so that you can savor the scenery in absolute comfort. For a truly luxurious experience, relish the view from the deck’s hot tub. The combination of the steamy jets of water, the crisp mountain breeze, and the singing of thrushes during the night and whip-poor-wills at night is a feast for the senses. The view is exceptionally stunning in autumn when the trees present a kaleidoscope of color. And nighttime is magical year-round, thanks to the canopy of glittering stars.
Large windows let you admire the view from the cabin’s great room as well. The wood-planked walls, beamed cathedral ceiling, and stone-surround fireplace invite you to lounge on the leather seating and watch a movie on the flat-panel TV or play Uno with the kids. The eye-catching log-style dining table seats 6 with ease, and there’s room for 2 more at the adjacent breakfast bar. Sure, there are scores of restaurants nearby—everything from barbecue to sushi, Italian to German—but none have a view that rivals Chalet of Dreams’. Happily, the kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you could possibly need. Even if you eat most of your meals out, you’ll appreciate having a refrigerator to keep wine and juice cold, a coffee maker for your morning cup of joe, and a blender for whipping up milkshakes for the kids and margaritas for the adults.
After dinner, you can head upstairs and shoot some pool in the game room. Even if pool’s not your game, the loft’s large windows make the room a lovely spot for watching the sunset.
The master suite is upstairs as well. Talk about your 5-star accommodations: The spacious room includes a king-size bed, a sitting area complete with fireplace, a private bathroom, and a jetted tub. This is a room made for romance and relaxation.
The 2nd bedroom, on the main floor, is a retreat as well, with its own king-size bed. The 2nd bathroom is also on the main floor. And if you have additional guests, the great room’s sofa opens into a queen-size bed, so that Chalet of Dreams can sleep 6 people in all.
Among the cabin’s other amenities are a washer and dryer, free WiFi, a gas grill on the deck, and cable channels. And because Chalet of Dreams is located in the gated Sherwood Forest Resort, when you stay here in the summer you’ll have free access to the resort’s outdoor pool.
The cabin’s prime location may be the best amenity of all. Chalet of Dreams is less than 2 miles, via easy-to-drive paved roads, from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Everything from Dollywood to Dixie Stampede, the Titanic Museum to Gatlinburg Golf Course, is no more than 15 minutes away. In less than 20 minutes you can drive to downtown Gatlinburg, home of the Guinness World Records Museum, thrill rides, an aquarium, and the tram that carries you above the town to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park. Also close is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its wildlife, wildflowers, and waterfalls.
When you stay at Chalet of Dreams, you really can enjoy your dream vacation. So go on, make the dream a reality: Book your stay today!

Reviews for Chalet of Dreams
Close to everything yet secluded, nice entertaining space for several people
This cabin is very nicely laid out for someone looking to share their stay with another couple, parents, etc.. The master suite upstairs with the king bed was very nice, including the electric fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Having a bedroom accessible to my mother in law without needing to go up steps was very convenient for her. And the spacious main bathroom was right next to her bedroom. Roads going to the cabin are easily traveled as there aren’t any “mountain” roads to climb. Used the hot tub which was very clean and nice. The grill on the wrap around deck is awesome. We used it to make dinner one evening and was amazed at how nice it was. The televisions in the bedrooms and living room were all flatscreens and perfectly sized for the rooms. The views were nice and even though it’s located in a resort the woods separating the cabins give you plenty of privacy and you don’t feel like you are sharing your space with the neighbors. The cons, if you would want to consider them to be cons because they aren’t deal breakers; very low lighting in the upstairs bathroom and the door opens into the bathroom against the toilet which makes it very awkward when trying to get ready and impossible to do if your spouse or someone else is trying to share the bathroom with you, a pocket door on the bathroom would solve this issue. The pool table is nice but the space it’s in is a bit small so there are places you just can’t get a shot because the wall is in the way. Not sure about the downstairs bed but the upstairs one could use a new mattress. Not terrible but it’s getting those dips that all king mattresses seem to get over time. There’s only one nightstand in the upstairs suite and one lamp so adding another nightstand and lamp would be nice. As for parking, one car will fit fine. Depending on the size of your vehicles you can fit 2 if they aren’t oversized. We had a Tahoe and a CRV and they fit fine. If we had driven our dually it would have been a little tight sharing with another vehicle. But there is plenty of extra parking just down from the cabin at the pool area. All in all this is a very nice cabin and I would recommend it. We come to the area a couple times a year and have stayed several places and would stay here again. The cons are just little things that stuck out to us but may not be a bother to anyone else. It’s just all in personal preference. Also, the check in and check out process was excellent. A simple text message and you are done.
Perfect location!
I hadn't really paid much attention to the location when I booked and was so happy with it once we got there. It is right at the area between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so you are out of the traffic of Pigeon Forge if heading into Gatlinburg. The cabin is easy to access - we've stayed in places around there that was much more difficult to get to. The views are spectacular. The cabin was very clean and we felt at home very quickly. The beds were pretty comfortable - the pillows were a little flat to my liking so next time I would bring my own pillows, which I normally do and forgot. The kitchen is a very good size. My only complaint in the kitchen is that the burners are a little uneven and if a pan wasn't heavy enough it sat at an angle. We did a lot of cooking so everything else went very well. The porch is a nice size and we spent a lot of time outside. The rooms were a good size as well. We had an issue with the Wifi at the beginning of the trip and contacted the company and they were incredibly fast at responding and sent someone out within a few hours and they had it fixed. They checked in as well to make certain everything was taken care of. The pool was nice and clean and we went several times with out toddler. I will most definitely go back in upcoming trips.
Wonderful anniversary weekend
We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the cabin very much. Very well equipped.
Great location away from the crowds but close to everything
We really liked the location. It was great to have so much room for the family instead of a typical hotel room! The views were great and we enjoyed grilling out on the deck.
Wonderful
I loved the cabin - everything was great
( the pool table is unbalanced - the floor leans or something and the coils on the stove are rickety- hard to cook on but I still loved the cabin and the porch view)
