Description for Bear Trails
We can’t ensure that you’ll see bears during your stay at Bear Trails, but you will have some spectacular vistas to admire. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin looks out over dense woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. As you sit on one of the decks—or better yet, soak in the hot tub—you can watch falcons soar over the mountains or the tram carry passengers from downtown Gatlinburg up and away to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, which is only a 10-minute drive from the cabin. The main deck includes an electric grill and bistro seating so that you can cook and dine amid nature’s splendor, with the singing of wrens and warblers the perfect soundtrack.
The view from the deck’s roomy hot tub is especially lovely, both during the day when you can view the mountains and at night when you can look up at the star-speckled sky. If you’d rather soak indoors, however, head upstairs to Bear Trails’ loft. There you’ll find a spacious jetted tub with a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding woods. After the steamy, massaging waters have revitalized your muscles and relaxed your soul, you and your special someone can step out onto the loft’s balcony to relish the fresh breeze. What a wonderful way to end the day… and begin a romantic evening.
The great room makes up much of Bear Trails’ main floor. A bevy of windows let in plenty of sunshine, and the towering vaulted ceiling adds to the open, airy feel. With its plush sofa and well-cushioned armchairs, the living room invites you to kick back and relax. Whether that means watching TV, surfing the web via the free WiFi, or sprawling out on the rug to build a Lego castle with the kids is entirely up to you. On chilly winter evenings, the golden warmth of the fireplace makes the room even more welcoming. (Speaking of winter, because this is mountain country, vehicles with 4-wheel drive or tire chains are recommended if you’re visiting us during that time.)
The dining area includes a table, set beneath a rustic antler-style chandelier, that seats 6. Alongside it is a breakfast bar with 2 stools. The breakfast bar doubles as additional kitchen counter space. Though dining out is often a vacation highlight, sometimes it’s easier (and more budget-friendly) to eat in. Bear Trails’ kitchen is equipped with a full gamut of appliances, cookware, and tableware. The only things you need to supply are food and an appetite.
Similarly, we’ll provide all the clean towels and bedding you could possibly want during your stay, and of course, when you arrive you’ll find the beds already beautifully made up. One of Bear Trails’ bedrooms boasts a king-size bed; the 2nd features a queen-size bed. Additional guests can sleep in the great room, as the sofa opens into a bed for 2. Both bedrooms include a TV and ample storage. There’s a bathroom for each bedroom, so you can indulge in a lengthy grooming session without a line forming outside your door. The cabin has its own washer and dryer too—so convenient.
When you stay at Bear Trails in the summer, you’ll have free access to the community’s 3 pool areas. In addition to swimming pools, these recreation areas offer tennis courts, clubhouses with game rooms, walking trails, and other diversions. What’s more, Bear Trails’ prime location puts you just minutes from the numerous local attractions. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only 10 minutes away, and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community is just a 20-minute ride. In less than 15 minutes you can drive to downtown Gatlinburg, home to thrill rides, restaurants, shops, arcades, distilleries, mini golf, and even an aquarium.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the serenity and comfort (those jetted tubs!) of Bear Trails afterward. Book your stay today; we look forward to seeing you.

Reviews for Bear Trails
We had an enjoyable stay at the Bear Trails cabin celebrating a birthday. It was a little ways up the mountain but the cabin was nice. We had fun!
Great mountain view. Watch the Tram go by with the city of Gatlinburg below. Very cozy.
Everything my son and I needed to get away for the weekend to forget about school and work.
Great!
