Description for A Wolf's Den
A Wolf’s Den is a one-of-a-kind log cabin for a one-of-a-kind Smoky Mountain vacation. The recently built 3-story home marries modern-day luxuries—a sauna! an outdoor hot tub! an indoor Jacuzzi! —with time-honored rustic charm. And with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, it can host as many as 12 overnight guests in both comfort and style.

Cocooned among lush trees and shrubs with a view of the Smoky Mountains, A Wolf’s Den is only 15 minutes from the excitement of downtown Gatlinburg. Yet it seems blissfully removed from the hubbub. As you drive up to the cabin you’ll pass the trail to lovely Misty Falls. Once you pull into the paved driveway, which has room for several vehicles, you’ll feel as if you’ve arrived at your own private paradise.

The front door, which displays a stained-glass window, leads you into the top floor’s great room. The hardwood floors, cathedral ceiling, and caribou head mounted above the stone-surround gas fireplace give the room a welcoming mountain-lodge ambiance. The spacious leather couch and roomy armchairs ensure there is plenty of seating so that everyone can gather together to watch TV, play games, or surf the web via the free WiFi.

The great room encompasses the dining area. Handcrafted of wood reclaimed from an old barn, the table easily seats 8, while 2 more can sit just a few feet away at the kitchen island. The kitchen itself is equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware. There’s also a charcoal grill outside.

On the top floor is the master bedroom with a private bathroom. Like the other bedrooms, it includes a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and ample storage. Setting it apart are stained-glass windows and a jetted tub. A leisurely soak is a perfect way to end an action-packed day… and begin a romantic evening.

Also on the upper level is the home’s unique half-bath, affectionately dubbed the “indoor outhouse.” Featuring electrified lanterns, walls planked with wood reclaimed from the same barn as the wood that made up the dining table, and a sink constructed from a log, a bowl, and a pump handle, it’s unlike any other powder room you’ve seen!

Down one flight of stairs, on the 2nd floor of A Wolf’s Den, are 2 more bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and private bathroom. One of the bedrooms opens onto the middle deck, where you’ll find the outdoor hot tub. Outside the bedrooms is a den where up to 4 more people can sleep: 2 on the twin-size bunk beds and 2 more on the sofa bed. The kids will love making this space their own. The convenient washer and dryer are on the 2nd floor also.

The 4th bedroom (with the 4th king-size bed) and bathroom are on the lower level. Also down here is the cabin’s most distinctive space, the game room. Decorated like an antique barn with reclaimed-wood walls and a tin ceiling, the game room features a full-sized pool table, a large flat-screen TV, a surround-sound stereo system, a barrel-style table, and plenty of chairs. When you need a break from shooting pool or playing cards, stroll down the hall to the sauna, constructed entirely of cedar planks. Between the sauna, the hot tub, and the Jacuzzi, A Wolf’s Den is sure to leave you feeling pampered.

Each of A Wolf Den’s 3 stories has its own rear deck spanning the width of the cabin. While the middle deck has the hot tub, the upper and lower decks are outfitted with rockers, tables, and handcrafted chairs. Start your day sipping coffee out here while watching the morning mist rise from the mountains; end your evening listening to the chirping crickets and tree frogs beneath the star-studded sky. This is what a Smoky Mountain vacation is all about!

Don’t miss out on your chance to revel in such a special setting; book your stay at A Wolf’s Den today.

Reviews for A Wolf's Den
OUTSTANDING vacation!!!!
My husband and I decided to take our kids and grandkids on a trip instead of buying Christmas presents since they are all getting older. We had 14 of us total and started searching for a big enough place for us all to stay and be together. The Wolf's Den looked very promising online so we booked it. We were not disappointed at all!!!!. This turned out to be wonderful and still semi-decorated for Christmas which was great. We all had plenty of room, beds and bathrooms. The rentals decorations were fascinating to all of us and made our stay feel very comfortable. All of the amenities were great with the full kitchen, pool table, hot tub and sauna. These gave us all something to do to enjoy ourselves when not out and about. Also, it was very close to downtown which worked out great for our skiing trip and store shopping. I would recommend this rental to anyone with a large group but want to stay in the same place. I also want to give a shout out to the folks at Jackson Rentals. Everyone was so nice and sent me all of the appropriate documents for a wonderful stay. We also called as we were pulling into the rental because we had arrived a few hours earlier than what we has expected. There was NO problem. They allowed us to go ahead and check in and was very nice to deal with for all of our needs and questions. OUTSTANDING vacation!!!!

My wife and I have stayed in a few cabins with Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg but this is by far our favorite one. We spent Thanksgiving of 2015 in this cabin with our family and there was enough space for everyone! The view is spectacular the three decks are amazing a great view from each one the bottom floor with the pool table is just awesome! The fireplace and decor was very comforting. This cabin was bigger than what I thought it was going to be and it's worth every penny. We will definitely be returning to this cabin again the future.

Loved the decor
Loved the decor, especially the half-bath upstairs and the gameroom. Plenty of room. Only negative comment would be the fact it could have been a little cleaner. Overall wonderful, though
